Lasse Brunnström, researcher and lecturer in architectural and design history, associate professor at the Art History Department, Umeå university and until 2009 visiting professor in design history at the School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, Sweden. Has in several books, emphasized the aesthetic and humanistic perspective in community development, industrial architecture and product development. His writings include books on community development in Kiruna at the turn of the last century (1981), Swedish industrial design as a history of the 1900s (1997), aesthetics and engineering as related to the architectural history of Swedish hydropower (2001) and the design history of the telephone (2006).
